Secondly, it can then be used as a sales tool. As the customer gets more serious and has funneled down the sales process they can use the app to do vehicle research. They can browse different vehicles by imagery, by video, look at reviews of different vehicles, and then the next stage of course is live inventory. All of which can be viewed on the go on a mobile device.
Finally and probably the most important part of the mobile app is the ability to do post–sale. A quality dealership mobile app will allow the customer to pull up the app and schedule service right within the app. It will allow the dealership through push notifications to send out specials and incentives to customers right though the app.
In summary, nothing is more personal to today’s customer than their mobile device. Therefore, dealers need to make sure they have a presence there. When that customer thinks about purchasing a vehicle, when that customer wants to do more research or look at live inventory, and when that customer has a car that’s in need of service. Dealers need to look at mobile apps as an effective way to capture and continue that relationship with the customer.
